The Ingestion Specialist is a production role responsible for accurately ingesting, transferring, formatting, and uploading curriculum and media assets into Imagine Learning's development platforms and content management tools. This role is essential to keeping content pipelines moving and ensuring that finished assets created by content development teams are correctly staged for review, publication, or further development.

 

Envision Your Experience.

In this role you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Content Migration & Formatting: Ingest lessons, assessments, assignments, activities, projects, and related educational content from diverse source formats (including Microsoft Word, PDFs, and spreadsheets) into digital authoring and delivery platforms.
  • Specification Compliance: Execute all data entry and content placement tasks while strictly adhering to provided technical specifications, style guidelines, and layout templates.
  • Media Processing: Upload, organize, and process multi-shore media assets—including video, audio, graphics, and other digital components—according to established technical specs.
  • Taxonomy & Metadata Maintenance: Input and maintain critical metadata tags for all ingested content, ensuring accurate cataloging, classification, and discoverability across the centralized content library.
  • Quality Control (First-Pass Review): Conduct systematic quality self-checks on all ingested modules to verify absolute accuracy, structural completeness, and proper visual formatting before routing.
  • Error Logging & Routing: Identify, flag, and document content inconsistencies, layout defects, or corrupt source assets, routing them efficiently to designated team members for rapid resolution.
  • Queue Tracking: Maintain accurate, real-time records of assignment status, ticket updates, and specific asset repository locations within the team's project tracking ecosystem.
  • Basic Web Styling & Tagging: Apply foundational front-end coding knowledge, such as utilizing low-level HTML and CSS, to manually tweak text formatting, adjust inline image alignments, or correct layout display errors directly within the platform's code editor when standard visual tools are insufficient.

  • Strong attention to detail and comfort with repetitive, process-driven work
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and style guides precisely
  • Proficiency with standard productivity tools (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace)
  • Proficiency with standard scheduling and tracking tools (Jira, Smartsheet)
  • Comfort learning and working within proprietary software platforms
  • Clear written communication skills in English
  • Experience in ingestion, data entry, or content management preferred

Reporting to: Director of Operations

Work Model: Hybrid in the Kadubeesanahalli area of Bengaluru 

 

Compensation

 

Compensation for this role is competitive and aligned with local market benchmarks in India. Compensation may vary based on factors such as, but not limited to, individual skills, experience, training, education/certifications, geographic location, internal equity, and local market conditions.
